FAQ
How is crypto profit calculated?+

Net profit equals total received minus total invested. Total invested is your cost basis (buy price × quantity) plus buy fees. Total received is your gross proceeds (sell price × quantity) minus sell fees. This gives you the true after-fee profit or loss.

What is the break-even sell price?+

The break-even sell price is the minimum price you must sell at to fully recover your investment including all trading fees. If you sell below this price you will record a net loss even if the price moved up from your buy price.

Should I use percentage or flat fees?+

Most crypto exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken) charge a percentage of each trade value — typically 0.1% to 0.6%. Some brokers or OTC desks charge a fixed dollar fee per transaction. Choose the mode that matches how your exchange bills you.

Does the calculator account for taxes?+

No — this tool calculates trading profit and loss before taxes. Cryptocurrency gains may be subject to capital gains tax in your jurisdiction. Consult a tax professional for advice on reporting crypto profits.
