FAQ
What is the difference between mean, median, and mode?+

The mean is the arithmetic average — sum divided by count. The median is the middle value when the numbers are sorted (or the average of the two middle values for an even-count set). The mode is the value that appears most frequently. A dataset can have multiple modes, or no mode at all if every number appears the same number of times.

How do I enter numbers into the calculator?+

Type or paste your numbers into the input box. You can separate them with commas, spaces, tabs, or new lines — the calculator accepts any of those formats. For example: '4, 8, 15, 16' or '4 8 15 16' or one number per line all work equally well.

What does 'no mode' mean?+

When every number in your list appears exactly once (or all numbers appear the same number of times), there is no single most-frequent value. In that case the calculator displays 'No mode' rather than listing every number.

Can I use negative numbers or decimals?+

Yes. The calculator handles negative numbers (e.g. -5, -3.7) and decimals (e.g. 1.5, 3.14) without any issues. Just enter them using standard notation and separate them with commas or spaces.
